At Muzes List, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and how you can contact us about your data.
1. Information We Collect
Muzes List collects only the data required to provide Discord bot and server discovery, moderation, voting, reviews and account features.
This may include your Discord user ID, username, avatar, banner, email address if Discord provides it through OAuth, public profile data, submitted bot or server listings, votes, favorites, reviews, reputation actions and moderation decisions.
We do not collect Discord passwords, private messages, payment card numbers or content from private Discord channels.
2. Discord Login and OAuth
When you sign in with Discord, Discord confirms your identity and returns the profile information needed to create a platform session.
If you choose to join the Muzes community during login, the main Discord bot may use the authorized OAuth flow to add your Discord account to the configured support server.
Sessions are time limited. Re-authorizing through Discord refreshes your session and confirms that your account is still valid.
3. Listings, Bots and Servers
When you submit a bot or server, we store the details you provide, including IDs, names, logos, descriptions, tags, links, framework choices, pricing information and feature flags.
Approved listings become public. Pending, declined or under-review listings may be visible to you, moderators and administrators for review purposes.
Listing pages may expose public metadata for previews, SEO, Discord embeds and share cards.
4. Votes, Reviews and Reputation
Votes are stored with your Discord user ID so the platform can enforce cooldowns, prevent abuse and keep ranking data accurate.
Reviews and profile reputation actions are stored so community feedback can be displayed publicly. You may edit or delete your own review where the interface allows it.
Abusive, misleading, spam or policy-breaking content may be removed by moderators.
5. How We Use Information
We use collected information to authenticate users, display public profiles, process submissions, rank listings, prevent spam, moderate content, calculate ratings and operate platform features.
We may also use aggregate statistics to improve search quality, detect abuse and understand which categories or tags are useful to the community.
6. Data Storage and Security
Platform data is stored in MongoDB and protected through application access controls, environment-based secrets and server-side authorization checks.
No online service can guarantee perfect security, but access is limited to the application, administrators and systems needed to operate Muzes List.
You should never share Discord bot tokens, OAuth secrets or database credentials in public channels.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
Muzes List uses session cookies to keep you signed in. Some interface preferences may be stored locally in your browser, such as filters, comparison selections or content preferences.
Clearing your browser data may remove local preferences. Signing out removes the active platform session cookie.
8. Public Visibility
Approved bot pages, server pages, profile pages, reviews, tags, votes and public metadata may be visible to anyone with access to the website.
Dynamic previews may use listing logos, profile avatars, short descriptions and page titles so links look correct when shared on Discord or other platforms.
9. Data Retention
We keep account, listing, vote, review and moderation records for as long as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, preserve ranking integrity and comply with operational requirements.
You may request correction or deletion of eligible data through the support server. Some records may be retained where needed for security, fraud prevention or moderation history.
10. Third-Party Services
Muzes List depends on Discord for OAuth login, avatars, bot identity and community features. Discord's own privacy rules apply to information processed by Discord.
External links submitted by users, such as websites, support servers, GitHub links or invite links, are controlled by their respective owners.
11. Children's Privacy
Muzes List is intended for users who are allowed to use Discord under Discord's Terms of Service and local law.
If you believe data was submitted by someone who should not use the service, contact support so it can be reviewed.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when features, data flows or legal requirements change.
The most recent version will be available on this page. Continued use of Muzes List after an update means you accept the updated policy.
